An event generated in a communication apparatus is sensed. Whether a communication partner apparatus exists in the effective range of a communication unit is detected in accordance with the sensed event. When it is detected that the communication partner apparatus exists in the effective range of the communication unit, application information about an application that operates in the communication partner apparatus is obtained. Activation information including identification information indicating an application to be activated in the communication partner apparatus, and execution information to be executed by the application is transmitted to the communication partner apparatus via the communication unit, based on the obtained application information.

Systems and methods for managing patient information on a primary computer system involving the creation of an electronic patient chart; receiving updated information to the patient chart; and automatically accessing a secondary system based on the updated information. The primary and secondary computer systems communicate to better manage inventory, medical prescriptions and other administrative concerns. When the patient chart is edited by a healthcare professional, the primary computer system evaluates the updated information and then sends requests to one or more secondary systems automatically. The updated information may involve the need for a new medicine for the patient, a new appointment for the patient to be set up, and/or a new bill to be generated for the patient, among others. The secondary system or systems provide back-end management for these requests. Such back-end management occurs relatively automatically and substantially in real time.

An example implementation involves a controller device detecting a first input in a control interface of a first application. Based on the first input, the controller device sends over a local area network (LAN) to a media playback system, a command that instructs the media playback system to play back media provided by a first streaming audio service. The controller device displays, in the control interface of the first application, an indication of a suggested second application that is operable to provide access to a second streaming audio service that is different from the first streaming media service. The controller device detects a second input in the first application, wherein the second input comprises a selection of the suggested second application. Based on the second input, the controller device downloads the second application to data storage of the controller device.

In one embodiment, respective user devices may be registered for one or more particular users at a particular physical space, and each of the one or more particular users may be associated with a respective user profile. The system monitors a location of each of the particular users within the particular physical space based on a corresponding location of the respective user device, such that upon receiving a search query for a particular type of user within the particular physical space, and determining one or more resultant users that correspond to the particular type of user based on the associated respective user profiles, the system can determine a location of the one or more resultant users. As such, the system can display, on a graphical user interface (GUI), the location of the one or more resultant users on a virtualized map of the particular physical space.

A method for dynamically presenting webpage information and the related systems are disclosed. The method includes: receiving an instruction to invoke a dynamic webpage including first account information; sending an information acquisition instruction to each designated online social platform according to second account information, which corresponds to the first account information, of each designated online social platform; receiving data returned by each designated online social platform and performing format conversion on the data, so as to convert the data into data in a designated data format; and integrating the data in a converted format and of each designated online social platform into a complete data list and displaying the integrated data list. According to the solutions of the present disclosure, when webpage information of multiple online social platforms needs to be viewed, it is unnecessary to separately log in to multiple account numbers for viewing. After data is pulled from each online social platform, the data may be converted into data in a uniform format. The data may then be integrated and viewed. System consistent with the present disclosure enables data sharing between different types of online social network products.

Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are for managing opt-in and opt-out for private data access. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a mobile device can receive a request to obtain private data associated with a user of the mobile device and, in response to the request, determine whether an application program associated with the request is permitted to access the private data based upon a rule. The mobile device, in response to determining that the application program is permitted to access the private data based upon the rule, can instruct the application program to proceed to obtain the private data. The mobile device, in response to determining that the application program is not permitted to access the private data based upon the rule, can instruct the application program to avoid obtaining the private data.
