In various embodiments, methods, systems, and computer program products for processing digital images captured by a mobile device are disclosed. The exemplary image processing techniques are coupled with inbound and outbound communications protocols and workflows configured to facilitate closed-loop processing, such that a method includes initiating a workflow; providing one or more of case information and raw data to the workflow; processing one or more of the case information and the raw data to generate a processing result; storing at least some of the case information in association with the processing result, wherein the associated case information acts as an identifier of the processing result; transmitting at least the processing result and the identifier; receiving, in response to the transmitting, a reply comprising the identifier; and retrieving at least the processing result using the identifier.
An image-based transaction system includes a mobile device with an image sensor that is programmed to capture, via the image sensor, a digital images of a scene. The mobile device identifies a document using image characteristics from the captured images and acquires an image of at least a part of the document, and then identifies symbols in the image based on locations within the image of the document. The symbols can include alphanumeric symbols. The mobile device processes the symbols according to their type to obtain an address related to the document and the symbols and initiates a transaction associated with the identified document.
Interaction output over a local computer-readable medium (CRM) generated based on user interaction with rendered content input representing a virtualized asset being is received at a virtualized asset local provisioning server. A manner to exploit the virtualized asset is determined from interaction output. The virtualized asset is exploited based on the determined manner to exploit the virtualized asset. A request for a portion of the virtualized asset generated in response to the exploiting the virtualized asset is intercepted. If it is determined that the portion of the virtualized asset is absent from the local storage, a request for the portion of the virtualized asset is sent to a virtualized asset delivery system over a non-local CRM; the portion of the virtualized asset retrieved by the virtualized asset delivery system is received over the non-local CRM; and the received portion of the virtualized asset is used in exploiting the virtualized asset.
Embodiments of the disclosed innovations provide systems and methods for locating data associated with rendered documents. Some embodiments support the use of a handheld document data capture device.
