A vehicle security system having controller area network buses, electronic control units connected to the controller area network buses, a vehicle security module connected to the controller area network buses, and an on board diagnostics connector connected to the vehicle security module. The vehicle security module may according to a policy discriminate between authorized and unauthorized signals that are input to the on board diagnostics connector. Authorized signals may be forwarded by the vehicle security module to the controller area network busses. Authorized signals may affect operation of one or more of the components of the vehicle via the electronic control units. Authorized signals may change the policy used by the vehicle security module. Unauthorized signals may be refused entry to the controller area network busses. The on board diagnostics connector may receive the signals from diagnostic instrumentation, control instrumentation, tracking instrumentation, a dongle, and so forth.

A vehicle keypad lock control system includes a computer programmed to determine whether the keypad master code should be deactivated based at least on data received by or stored on the computer. The computer deactivates the keypad master code in response to a determination that the keypad master code should be deactivated. The computer may actuate the power lock to an unlocked condition in response to receiving keypad data including the keypad master code while the keypad master code is activated.

A method for presenting an estimated elevator car arrival time, the method comprising: receiving an elevator call at a mobile device; obtaining the estimated elevator car arrival time in response to the elevator call; and generating a user interface depicting the estimated elevator car arrival time, the user interface depicting the estimated elevator car arrival time including a dynamic component that changes appearance in response to the estimated elevator car arrival time.

A light-emitting device includes a strip-like high flexibility region and a strip-like low flexibility region arranged alternately in a direction.
