A user authentication tool continuously authenticates the user of a computing device during an electronic communication session. A trusted user profile includes keypad pressure applied by the trusted user when depressing characters on a virtual keypad displayed on the computing device touch screen. Keypad pressure applied by the current user of the computing device is continually monitored during the current electronic communication session. The monitored keypad pressure applied by the current user is compared to the keypad pressure in the trusted user profile. A confidence score is generated based upon the compared keypad pressures of the current user and the trusted user, the confidence score being indicative of the likelihood that the current user is the trusted user of the computing device. The computing device is automatically required to re-authenticate the current user as the trusted user if the generated confidence score is below a predefined minimum confidence threshold.

A computing platform is described to match a palm print digital representation to a palm print template. The platform includes logic causing an illumination source to illuminate a field of view of a camera with an emission spectrum predominately in a wavelength range less than 485 nm; capturing a set of images using the camera of a palm during the illumination; processing the set of images to determine a set of identifying features of the palm according to intensity gradients in the wavelength range of the illumination source; and comparing the set of identified features with enrolled palm prints to identify the palm.

The presentment and redemption system offers discounts directly to consumers through their mobile phones. The discounts are based upon the user of the mobile phone meeting a targeting criterion and the discounts are determined using the targeting criterion. Mobile phone users that do not meet the targeting criterion are not eligible for the discount. Because the discounts can be targeted to each individual consumer, there can be a better correlation between consumers' interests and the transmitted discounts.
