The system includes an adjustable light source constructed to direct a beam of electromagnetic radiation at a specimen chamber that allows a portion of the beam to scatter when illuminating particles within the chamber. The scattered portion of the beam is directed to a sensor, the sensor having a frame rate and a time period between frames. The system may have a processor connected to the sensor and light source, the processor may perform the following steps: activate the light source and obtain images from sensor; if the images from the sensor show that particles are blinking then reduce the frame rate, set the exposure time to at least 60% of the time between frames and reduce the illumination. Then, the processor obtains additional images and processes those images to mitigate blurring. The processor determines the Brownian motion of the particles from the processed images and determines the sizes of the particles based on the motion.

In illustrative implementations, an imaging system may comprise a lens, an optical cavity and a time-of-flight camera. The imaging system may capture an image of a scene. The image may be formed by light that is from the scene and that passes through the optical cavity and the lens. In some cases, the lens is in front of the optical cavity, enabling the Euclidean distance between the lens and the camera sensor to be less than the nominal focal length of the lens. In some cases, the lens is inside the optical cavity, enabling the camera to acquire ultrafast multi-zoom images without moving or changing the shape of any optical element. In some cases, the lens is behind the optical cavity, enabling the system to perform ultrafast multi-spectral imaging. In other cases, an optical cavity between the scene and time-of-camera enables ultrafast ellipsometry measurements or ultrafast spatial frequency filtering.

The present application discloses a dual-color laser light projection device, wherein the dual-color laser light projection device includes a first blue laser transmitter, a second blue laser transmitter, a red laser transmitter, a light combining component, a fluorescent wheel, a light-pipe; wherein the fluorescent wheel comprises a green fluorescent region provided with a green fluorescent powder and a transmission region, and wherein the green fluorescent region is excited by a first blue laser emitted from the first blue laser transmitter to generates green fluorescence. The light path system of the present application is simple and has a small volume.
