Technologies for allocating resources of a set of managed nodes to workloads based on resource utilization phase residencies include an orchestrator server to receive resource allocation objective data and determine an assignment of a set of workloads among the managed nodes. The orchestrator server is further to receive telemetry data from the managed nodes, determine, as a function of the telemetry data, phase residency data, determine, as a function of at least the phase residency data and the resource allocation objective data, an adjustment to the assignment of the workloads to increase an achievement of at least one of the resource allocation objectives without decreasing the achievement of any of the other resource allocation objectives, and apply the adjustment to the assignments of the workloads among the managed nodes as the workloads are performed.

Disclosed is a multifunction personal audio emulation device having a cushioned headband with noise cancelling ear cups. The cushioned headband is approximately half an inch thick and with cups being one inch thick. Fitted into the headband further is an independent rechargeable battery source a USB connection for data and electric power input and at least one other universal serial bus output. The personal audio device may connect to an external audio output device using a wired or a wireless connection. The personal audio device is further capable of data storage, including storage for replay of content via the sound drivers of the device.

A hearing instrument includes: a radio for reception of a broadcasted signal having a message, at least a part of the message has been encrypted with a first key, wherein the first key has been encrypted with a second key; an authenticator configured for authentication of the message by decrypting the first key with a third key, and decrypting the at least a part of the message with the first key; and a processing unit for converting the message into an acoustic signal for transmission towards an eardrum of a user of the hearing instrument.

One example discloses a first wireless device, including: a wireless device presence detection module configured to, generate a second wireless device presence signal if a second wireless device is within a preselected range; and generate a third wireless device presence signal if a third wireless device is within the preselected range; and a communications control module, configured to, enable communication between the first and second wireless devices in response to the second device presence signal; and disable communication between the first and third wireless devices in response to the third device presence signal.
