2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the efficiency report includes customizable viewing that allows a type of appointment to be selected to view, wherein each type of appointment has a same allotted time.
3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the efficiency report is viewable as a chart or graph.
4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the medical schedule processor is further configured to identify trends in the statistics, wherein the trends reflect patterns relating to when appointments tended to be behind schedule or overrun their allotted durations; and wherein the efficiency report further includes the trends in the statistics.
5. The system of claim 4 , wherein the medical schedule processor is further configured to provide suggestions for changes based on the trends in the statistics.
6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the medical schedule processor is further configured to identify problematic appointments, wherein problematic appointments include appointments that were behind schedule or overran their allotted durations; and wherein the efficiency report further includes details of the problematic appointments.
7. A method comprising: forming a wireless connection between a location sensor and each of one or more identifier devices in proximity to the location sensor, wherein the location sensor is located within an examination room, wherein each identifier device corresponds to a medical professional, wherein the wireless connection between the location sensor and an identifier device of the one or more identifier devices indicates a presence of a corresponding medical professional is in the examination room; receiving login information from a respective medical professional at an input interface provided on a display; logging, via the location sensor, a first examination time for a first appointment based on the login information and a connection formed with a first identifier device corresponding to the respective medical professional; receiving, at a medical schedule processor, a plurality of medical examination times and examination duration times for a plurality of appointments within a selected time frame based on respective wireless connections formed between the location sensor and the one or more identifier devices, the plurality of medical examination times including the first examination time and the plurality of appointments including the first appointment, each appointment having an associated scheduled appointment time and an allotted duration, wherein the plurality of medical examination times correspond to actual start times for the plurality of appointments, wherein the examination duration times correspond to actual length of examinations corresponding to the plurality of appointments; displaying, at an appointment delay log, real-time location and time information for appointments in progress based on the plurality of medical examination times and examination duration times, wherein the appointment delay log is located on a user device at a separate location from the examination room; and generating and displaying an efficiency report in a selected format, the efficiency report including: statistics reflecting a first number of appointments that were behind schedule based on respective medical examination times and associated scheduled appointment times, and statistics reflecting a second number of appointments that overran their allotted durations for the selected time frame based on respective examination duration times and associated allotted durations, wherein portions of the efficiency report are selectable to show details of particular appointments and portions of the selected time frame, wherein the details of particular appointments include amounts that late appointments ran behind schedule and amounts that appointments overran their allotted times.
8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the efficiency report is viewable as a graph, wherein the graph shows trends related to which appointments were behind schedule.
9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the efficiency report is viewable as a graph, wherein the graph shows trends related to which appointments overran their allotted durations.
10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the efficiency report includes customizable viewing that allows selected parameters to be viewed.
11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the selected parameters include a type of appointment, wherein the type of appointment selected has a particular allotted duration.
12. The method of claim 10 , wherein the selected parameters include a particular patient.
13. The method of claim 7 , wherein the efficiency report is viewable as a chart.
14. The method of claim 7 , further comprising: retrieving actual reimbursement amounts for the plurality of appointments, wherein the actual reimbursement amounts include an amount of compensation that was received from insurance and patient sources; and comparing the actual reimbursement amounts to expected reimbursement amounts to calculate rates of reimbursement for each of the plurality of appointments, wherein expected reimbursement amounts include a full amount of compensation that is expected from insurance and patient sources when not discounted for patient dissatisfaction; and wherein the efficiency report includes statistics reflecting rates of reimbursement for the plurality of appointments.
15. The method of claim 7 , further comprising: retrieving patient feedback reports for the plurality of appointments, wherein each patient feedback report for each appointment includes whether a respective patient was satisfied with the appointment; identifying which patient feedback reports included negative responses; and determining if a correlation exists between negative responses and whether corresponding appointments were behind schedule; and wherein the efficiency report includes statistics reflecting a third number of appointments that received negative responses, wherein portions of the efficiency report are selectable and viewable to show details indicating which of the appointments that received negative responses also ran behind schedule.
16. The method of claim 7 , further comprising: identifying trends in the statistics, wherein the trends reflect patterns relating to which appointments tended to be behind schedule or overrun their allotted durations; and wherein the efficiency report further includes the trends in the statistics.
