Legal claims defining the scope of protection. Each claim is shown in both the original legal language and a plain English translation.
1. A synchronization device for synchronization between a mobile device and a display device, the synchronization device comprising: a storage part configured to store first position information of each of a plurality of display devices; a receiving part configured to receive second position information of the mobile device; and a synchronizing part configured to synchronize the mobile device with a display device having the first position information corresponding to the second position information, from among the plurality of display devices, wherein the first position information comprises at least one of the first area information and first direction information, the first area information relating to areas in which the plurality of display devices are positioned, and the first direction information relating to directions in which the plurality of display devices are pointing, and wherein the second position information comprises at least one of second area information and second direction information, the second area information relating to an area in which the mobile device is positioned, and the second direction information relating to a direction in which the mobile device is pointing.
A system synchronizes mobile devices with nearby displays. The system stores the location (area and/or direction) of multiple displays. When a mobile device's location (area and/or direction) is detected, the system synchronizes the mobile device with the display whose stored location matches the mobile device's location. This allows a user to easily connect their mobile device to a display for various services based on proximity and orientation.
2. The synchronization device of claim 1 , wherein the synchronizing part selects a display device having the first area information corresponding to the second area information, from among the plurality of display devices, and synchronizes the mobile device with the selected display device, and wherein a corresponding between area information means that the first area information and the second area information are alike.
The synchronization system from the previous description selects a display based on matching area information (e.g., both device and display are in the living room). It synchronizes the mobile device with the display in the same area. "Corresponding" area information means the areas are considered alike or the same.
3. The synchronization device of claim 2 , wherein, if there are a plurality of display devices having the first area information corresponding to the second area information, the synchronizing part selects a display device having the first direction information corresponding to the second direction information, from among the display devices having the first area information corresponding to the second area information, and synchronizes the mobile device with the selected display device, and wherein a corresponding between direction information means that the mobile device and the display device point in directions facing each other.
The synchronization system, if multiple displays share the same area as the mobile device (from the previous area-based claim), then it selects one based on direction. It chooses the display whose direction corresponds to the mobile device's direction. "Corresponding" direction means the device and display are facing each other. The mobile device is then synchronized with the chosen display.
4. The synchronization device of claim 3 , wherein, if there are a plurality of display devices having the first direction information corresponding to the second direction information, the synchronizing part selects a display device closest to the mobile device, from among the display devices having the first direction information corresponding to the second direction information, and synchronizes the mobile device with the selected display device.
Building on the previous direction-based synchronization, if multiple displays both share the area and face the mobile device, the system selects the closest display and synchronizes the mobile device with that display. This ensures the most relevant or convenient display is chosen for synchronization.
5. The synchronization device of claim 1 , wherein the storage part further stores first profile information of the display device synchronized with the mobile device and second profile information of the mobile device, the synchronization device further comprises a profile transmitting part configured to transmit the first profile information to the mobile device and transmit the second profile information to the synchronized display device, and the mobile device and the synchronized display device perform a particular action based on the first profile information or the second profile information.
The system stores device profiles (first profile for displays, second profile for mobile devices). After synchronization (based on location), display profile information is sent to the mobile device, and mobile device profile information is sent to the synchronized display. The mobile device and display then perform actions based on these exchanged profiles, enabling customized interaction.
6. The synchronization device of claim 5 , wherein the first profile information comprises type information of the synchronized display device, and the second profile information comprises at least one of type information of the mobile device and information on a user using the mobile device.
In the profile-based synchronization (from the previous description), the display profile includes the display's type. The mobile device profile includes the mobile device's type and/or information about the user (e.g., name, account details). This information is used in subsequent interactions.
7. The synchronization device of claim 6 , wherein the user information comprises at least one of an age and a gender of the user, and the synchronized display device customizes or restricts an image or information provided on the mobile device based on the user information.
In the profile-based synchronization (building on previous profile claims), the user information includes age and/or gender. The display customizes or restricts the content displayed on the mobile device based on this user information, potentially providing age-appropriate or gender-specific content.
8. The synchronization device of claim 5 , wherein the particular action comprises at least one of: sharing an image displayed on the mobile device or the synchronized display device with each other, controlling the synchronized display device by using the mobile device, controlling the mobile device by using the synchronized display device, displaying supplementary information on the mobile device for an image displayed on the synchronized display device, and displaying on the synchronized display device information requested by a user of the mobile device.
The profile-based synchronization (from previous profile claims) enables specific actions: sharing images between the mobile device and the synchronized display; using the mobile device to control the display; using the display to control the mobile device; displaying supplementary information on the mobile device for content on the display; or displaying information requested by the mobile device user on the display.
9. The synchronization device of claim 1 , wherein the mobile device obtains the second direction information by using at least one of a geomagnetic sensor, a gyro sensor, and a gravity sensor included in the mobile device.
The mobile device determines its direction using a geomagnetic sensor (compass), a gyro sensor (for rotation), and/or a gravity sensor (for orientation). This direction information is then used for synchronization with a display.
10. The synchronization device of claim 1 , wherein, if there are a plurality of mobile devices having the second position information corresponding to the first position information of any one of the plurality of display devices, the synchronizing part synchronizes the plurality of mobile devices with the one display device such that a screen included in the one display device is divided and controlled by the plurality of mobile devices.
If multiple mobile devices are in the same location as a display, the system synchronizes all those mobile devices with the single display. The display's screen is divided, and each mobile device controls a portion of the screen, enabling collaborative interaction.
11. The synchronization device of claim 1 , wherein, if a screen included in the display device to be synchronized with the mobile device has a size greater than or equal to a preset value, the synchronizing part synchronizes the mobile device with the to-be-synchronized display device such that the mobile device controls a partial area of the screen.
If the display screen to be synchronized with a mobile device is large (greater than or equal to a certain size), the mobile device controls only a portion of the display screen, not the entire display. This allows the mobile device to act as a remote control or input device for a specific area of the large display.
12. A mobile device configured to perform synchronization with a display device, the mobile device comprising: a receiving part configured to receive first position information of each of a plurality of display devices; a measuring part configured to measure second position information of the mobile device; and a synchronizing part configured to synchronize the mobile device with a display device having the first position information corresponding to the second position information, from among the plurality of display devices, wherein the first position information comprises at least one of first area information and first direction information, the first area information relating to areas in which the plurality of display devices are positioned, and the first direction information relating to directions in which the plurality of display devices are pointing, and wherein the second position information comprises at least one of second area information and second direction information, the second area information relating to an area in which the mobile device is positioned, and the second direction information relating to a direction in which the mobile device is pointing.
A mobile device syncs with displays. It receives location info (area and/or direction) from multiple displays. It measures its own location (area and/or direction). It syncs with the display whose location matches its own. Location info includes the area where the device is and/or the direction the device is pointing.
13. A display device configured to perform synchronization with a mobile device, the display device comprising: a storage part configured to store first position information of the display device; a receiving part configured to receive second position information of the mobile device; and a synchronizing part configured to synchronize the display device with the mobile device if the second position information corresponds to the first position information, wherein the first position information comprises at least one of first area information and first direction information, the first area information relating to an area in which the display device is positioned, and the first direction information relating to a direction in which the display device is pointing, and wherein the second position information comprises at least one of second area information and second direction information, the second area information relating to an area in which the mobile device is positioned, and the second direction information relating to a direction in which the mobile device is pointing.
A display device syncs with mobile devices. It stores its own location (area and/or direction). It receives location info (area and/or direction) from a mobile device. If the mobile device's location matches the display's location, they sync. Location includes area where the device is and/or the direction the device is pointing.
